I Am Legend

As today is a public holiday due to Haji and that i have nothing to do at home, i decided to call shalu for a chat. coincidentally, she is back to Penang for holidays and she did a good suggestion through the phone that lets watch movie together which i instantly agree!

I Am Legend is the movie that we watch today at the Cineplex, Prangin Mall. the movie is really nice with a little bit of trill here and there.

Synopsis

A brilliant scientist who raced to discover a cure for the man-made virus as humanity came crumbling down all around him, Robert Neville (Will Smith) was inexplicably immune to the highly contagious superbug. Now the entire population of New York City -- and perhaps the world -- has been transformed into carnivorous bloodsuckers that fear the light and live solely to spread their contagion to any remaining living creature that crosses their path.

It's been three years since civilization came to an end, and the loneliness has taken a devastating toll on Neville. By day he scours the city for food and supplies while sending out desperate radio messages in hopes that someone might respond, and by night he attempts to find a way to reverse the effects of the virus by experimenting with his own blood.

But time is running out for Neville as the legions of infected watch his every move from the safety of the shadows, waiting for the perfect moment to strike. They, too, long to learn the secret that lurks in Neville's blood, though they will have to take caution while attempting to procure it because Neville will sooner die attempting to slay every last one of them than willingly giving up a single drop.
Hope you all enjoy reading this post. =_=

Weekend

Yes, weekend is finally approaching and why i'm so excited? well.... i'm going down to Kuala Lumpur on this Sunday with my sis for two days to ask for a full detail of the course that i'm interested in or i have in my mind. =)

I can't tell you what courses that i have in my mind yet until i have fully clarified the matter. whatever courses that i'm planning to take will be a new beginning as whatever is past will be history.

All i can do is take the failure as a challenge/motivation to achive a better life for a better future in coming study.

Work is as usual except that for two days in a roll i'm late to work. feel very tired everytime i finish work. as its now December, everyone in the office is rushing to apply for their leave to go for holidays with their love ones or family. =)

As i might not be updating my blog this coming few days, i wanna share a song with you all. Hope you all like it.

Colourcloud Palace OST
Saikou no Kataomoi (The Greatest Unrequited Love)

Vocal: Tainaka Sachi
Lyrics: Tainaka Sachi
Composition: Tainaka Sachi

Itsumo sugoku jiyuu na anata wa ima
Kono ame no naka donna yume wo oikaketeiru no
Dokoka de kodoku to tatakai nagara
Namida mo gaman shiterun darou

Normally you were so free in spirit –
What dream might you be chasing after now in this rain?
No matter where you might be battling with loneliness,
You were always holding back your tears, right?

Hitori de mo daijoubu to anata mo watashi to onaji
Toomawari bakari dakedo naze ka kono michi ga suki de

You say “I’ll be all right even when alone.” - just like I do
Despite detours everywhere, for some reason, we have taken to this path

Shiawase da toka ureshii toki wa
Anata no koto wo omoidasu kara
Iro azayaka na kisetsu wa kitto
Kono omoi todokete kureru

In times of happiness or joy,
I’ll remember of you
And I am sure that this season, with its vivid colours,
Will convey these feelings of mine to you

Akogare toka suki toka kirai da toka
Sou iu kimochi da to wo dokoka chigaun da keredo
Anata no sono utsukushii nagare ni
Watashi mo nosete hoshii

Longing, liking, or dislike –
Though saying my feelings for you are of those seems somewhat wrong,
I want to follow your beautiful shadow*

Aimai na kotoba yori mo kantan na yakusoku yori
Hoshii no wa te no nukumori soshite
Futari dake no toki

More than vague words or simple promises,
What I desire is the warmth of your hand, and
A time only for the two of us

Moshimo anata ga kanashii no nara
Ashita ga sukoshi mienai no nara
Tayotte hoshii watashi wa kitto
Kore kara mo anata mo houmou

If you should feel sad,
Or if tomorrow [the future] can’t be clearly seen,
I, who wish you would rely on me,
Would continue to think of you

Shiawase da toka ureshii toki wa
Anata no koto wo omoidasu kara
Iro azayaka na kisetsu wa kitto
Kono omoi todokete kureru

In times of happiness or joy,
I’ll remember of you
And I am sure that this season, with its vivid colours,
Will convey these feelings of mine to you

Right Or Wrong?

Dear friends,

How are you all? Hope that you all are doing fine. As for me, i'm kinda bored and alone in penang. Kinda feel like talking to someone but it seems that everyone is either busy with their work or study. =/

Anyway, here is a little bit update of what is happening in my life. I'm about to resign from my current job as i'm planning to continue my studies this coming Jan 2008 hopefully. Hoping that i made a correct decision!

Work has been getting a bit hectic from day by day. Sometimes i will be very busy doing lots of paperworks etc and sometimes i will be sitting in front of the computer doing nothing! *shake head* Oh yeah not forgetting myself being the scapegoat in the office when things has gone out of hands! Its not that i'm not getting along well with my collegues, it's just that everyone in the office got their own mood swings when the workloads is never ending or that they get scolded by the clients.

Enough of the ranting, basically my life is full of boringness. Really looking forward to Christmas as it is a public holiday! So friends, any presents for this friend of yours ? *kidding*

Miss you all a lots!

Unsolved Mystery Of Life

Just a little update about what is going on. Weather is bright and sunny in the morning and afternoon until around 5.35pm when it starts to rain.

Works been very hectic this few days at the office until i almost feel like shouting and cursing at the people around me. Been doing a lot of paperworks, photostating, receiving phone calls, typing and also finding for files. Feeling very tired, dull and stressful....

As for my future career i.e. education, i'm still undecided whether i should continue study law or change to other courses like business. *a major problem that i really need to consider and decide carefully* haih....

Have talked to several people for advise regarding this matter and most of the advise given by them is about the same, that is, it's up to you to decide in the end as this is your own future career.

Advise 1 :

If you are still interested in law, then you should continue with it eventhough you have to restart over again from the first year so that your three year of studying law is not wasted for nothing. if it is the other way round i.e. not interested, then you should choose something that you really like to study as this decision making might be your last chance to start over a new life as you are no longer young.

Advise 2 :

We can't made that decision for you as if were the one who made the decision and it come out to be a mistake, then you will forever never forgive us and will be mad with us. but if it is your own final decision after some consideration and it come out to be a mistake, at least you can always forgive yourself for the mistake. so you must really interprete carefully what we have advise you and which one of it made a better sense for you while trying to made the decision.

Advise 3 :

Don't rush yourself in making that decision as rushing decision will always be a bad decision in the end. so relax yourself a bit and don't think to much. have faith in yourself. there is always a path that suits everybody life.

After hearing this advises, until now i'm still undecided but i do keep in mind all the advises given as eventhough some advise might not help me in solving this matter, maybe it will help me in settling some other daily life.

Well, i guess i should stop blogging now. Till then, see ya and have a nice day! =P

Deepavali

Today is Deepavali celebration for the Hindus and it mean a day holiday for the non -indians like me from working =)

What is Deepavali?

Deepavali is a colorful festival that is celebrated by all Hindus worldwide which is also known as the festival of lights. This festival usually falls around late October and November. One important practice that the Hindus follow during the festival is to light oil lamps in their homes on Deepavali morning. By lighting the oil lamps, the Hindus are thanking the gods for the happiness, knowledge, peace and wealth that they have received. The Hindus consider Deepavali as one of the most important festivals to celebrate.

The legenda

There is even an interesting legend behind this festival. The story goes that Narakasura, a demon, ruled the kingdom of Pradyoshapuram. Under his rule, the villagers suffered a lot of hardship as the demon tortured the people and kidnapped the women to be imprisoned in his palace. Seeing his wickedness, Lord Khrishna set out to destroy the demon and the day Narakasura died was celebrated as Deepavali, the triumph of good over evil!

Preparations

Preparation for Deepavali starts usually at least two to three weeks before the festival. It is known that the Hindus will be busy cleaning their houses to prepare for the festival. Some would even renovate their houses to prepare it for Deepavali. Usually the family will shop for new clothes and for accessories to decorate their homes. Prior to the festival, Indian shops will be selling festive items like Deepavali greeting cards, carpets, Punjabi suits and flowers. The Hindus will frequent these shops when they are shopping for Deepavali.

Celebrations

The Hindus usually awake early in the morning of Deepavali around 3am and the first ritual will be having an oil bath, which is an important feature of Deepavali. Hindus will be dressed in their new clothes on Deepavali. Most of the ladies would be clad in silk saris or Punjabi suits of various bright shades. Hindus particularly dislike dressing in black on that day, as they consider black an inauspicious color for the festival. Hindus would also pay their respects to the elderly and most families would go to the temple after having breakfast. This is also an important practice for them. The reason why they would be going to the temples is to pray to get happiness and prosperity on Deepavali. The houses would be decorated with oil lamps and children will play with firecrackers to celebrate the festival. On the first day, they would not go visiting but would stay at home to welcome the guests who visit them.

Food

Visiting Hindus during Deepavali will be an interesting activity, as you will get to taste a wide variety of delicious food. In every home that you visit you are bound to be served with a tempting spread of sweets. Some of the popular sweets are halwa, burfi and laddu. Hindus love eating spicy food and for non-vegetarians they indulge in favorites like chicken tandoori, prawn sambal and fish head curry. In homes of Hindus who are vegetarians popular dishes like thosais, idlis and naans are prepared.

Well, actually i'm been invited to Shalu house for the celebration today, but i kinda can't make it as i have stuff to do. Sorry about that ya Shalu.

A year ago, on the very same day of today, when i'm still at Newcastle, me and Shalu and few other friends went to Hindu temple which located at Fenham to celebrate Deepavali for the very first time. This is the photos that we took during the celebration. Really miss the time i had that time.
