Alone

It was gloomy and raining outside and all i can do is just sit inside my room watching series and chat. sienz... though the heater is on, i can still feel the coldness till i need to wear a jacket to keep me away from shivering. wishing there is someone that i can hug right now. yeah right, keep on dreaming....

I'm alone again in an empty and lifeless flat 207. how come? maybe because i'm an anti-social person or that i'm just a boring and unhumour person. no worries bout it as i'm already used to being a lone ranger either back home in penang or even here in newcastle.

The series that i'm been currently watching nowadays is Young Justice Bao 3 - Legend of Tien Mould aka 少年包青天3之天芒传奇 from Crunchyroll. like this series very much as it's adventurous. This third series of Bao Ching Tien was made in Taiwan. It's started with Bao Ching loosing his memory and ended up in a brothel. His two buddies 公孙策 and 展昭 find him. There is when the first case starts. 小蛮 the girl working in the brothel as servant joins the group and the group solves one mysterious case after another until Bao Ching finally found out the truth about the Legend of Tien Moud.

I highly recommend it to those who also like an adventurous and detective like story. before i leave, i would like to share a song from the series itself which i feel like it represents my feelings right now.

Translation of the song...

who can tell me if there exists such a pen(brush)
(that) can draw a pair of eyes which will never tear(cry)
(to) grab hold of time that past by in blink of an eye
not to let all that's pretty to ever fade away

if this is so, i can console myself
to draw a glimpse of light in the night of never to (ever) have you
(to) grab hold of happiness and send it all to you
(all) tastelessness have become sweet

hence there's no need to be apart in love on heaven and earth
and still be able to meet again under the same sky, day or night
as long as (my) life have(had?) you everything became possible
let all comets meet at any time

hence there'll be no more disgruntled partings in the world
i do not need to witness you going far away
no more youth that has gone bad, no more love that will be lost
all(every) promises are eternal as the stars

Bye for now.... hope you enjoy the song

Fire Alarm!!!

Today at around 8.15pm, there is a fire alarm. As usual i thought it is a false alarm as there is never ever once a real fire happened before. However, just now it is the first time after almost a year of stay at Camden Court, the fire alarm is for real!!!!

The fire alarm kept on ringing for almost 10 minutes before i decided to went down and have a look. After 5 minutes of waiting outside the building, to my surprise, there were two fire engine coming to the rescue. It is so as the management of Camden Court is not on duty at that time when the incident happened, which was really weird.

The reason the fire alarm rang was basically due to a gas leakage on the 2nd floor of annexe building. I was shocked when i heard of the info but felt relief at the same time as i stayed at 2nd floor but at the main building.

There are a total of five firemen and two assistance who upon arrival quickly started to performed their duty. As it was a leakage, one of the firemen brought out a machine from the fire truck and started to absorb the gas from the door to prevent from spreading.

After awhile of standing and watching the firemen performed their duty, we are finally allowed to went back to our own room by one of the firemen as it was just a small matter.

What a day we, the tenants of Camden Court had for the day.... The next time the fire alarm rang, i will definitely make an effort to go down and check just for safety purposes....

Feelings....

I feel super duper sad now... why? i will tell you why!

Today, i wake up at 11am feeling happy despite i've been sleeping late yesterday night at 4am to call back Malaysia to settle my flight ticket. However, things started to turn its back against me when i reach Newcastle Airport to confirm my ticket.

Here at the British Airways counter, i was helped by a lady who was stationed there at the moment asking "Can I help you?" At the instance, i happily tell her that i'm here to confirm my changing of dates for my flight back Penang where she ask for my ticket in which i give.

After a few minutes, to my horror, the lady said that she can confirm my flight ticket from Newcastle all the way to London only but not for the ticket back to Penang in which at the moment i was dumbfolded as to what is going on right now. She told me that their system show that the ticket from Hong Kong to Penang is on waiting list in which the information make me even more dumbfolded as i was told by the MSL Travel Agent, Mr Thomas that he already confirm all my return tickets back.

Due to this, i call back Malaysia to talk to my parents in which they also seems to be surprise as well when i told them the news in which they promised to call Mr Thomas as soon as possible by tomorrow morning to check things out.

As i can't do anything about it at the moment, i take the metro back to Newcastle city feeling sad as at first i thought i can at least heave up one of the burdens i have which come out to be in vain. :(

Note: To all my juniors who is coming to Newcastle for studies, heed my advice, don't ever buy your ticket from MSL Travel Agent eventhough the tickets maybe cheap compare to other travel agency if you do not want any troubles that i'm been having now.

Today

Today, i don't feel like blogging but since i was asked to blog about my life in newcastle, i finally gave in as i feel like my blog is a bit empty after a few thought.

Unlike everyday, i woke up at 11am to my surprise as i was a lazy bump who like to sleep a lot. hehehe.... As usual after shower i would switch on my laptop to check my email and online and at the same time having my breakfast as to save some time to do other chores for the day.

After about an hour of checking my email, i decided to cook lunch as my stomach has starts to rumble eventhough i just ate my breakfast. hehehehe.... *easily gets hungry* So the menu for the day is nasi goreng cina *chinese fried rice* where i dump a lot of vegetables inside.... :)

After finish cooking and eating the fried rice, i started to feel sleepy in which i ask Shalu and Kumu whether they want to watch horror movie with me whereby they instantly agree as three of us like to watch horror movies... :)

So the horror movie for the day is Black Night where it comprises of three different stories happened in Hong Kong, Japan and Thailand. The Hong Kong story is not bad as it's a bit scary whereas the other two stories is a bit bored and confusing. Haiz...

Soon after the movie had finish, i chatted with my parents for awhile regarding my flight ticket back to Penang which is a headache for me. :( After the chat, i took shower and have my dinner with Shalu and Kumu in the kitchen where we have a bit of chat before i need to do my chores of the day that is washing and cleaning my room.

Now that i have finish my chores of the day, it is entertainment time..... hehehehe..... i think those of you who is reading this post must have fallen asleep de as i feel that this post is very boring...

A Tour Around Newcastle 2

As the weather seems to be fine today, i took the initiative to walk around and explore the other part of Newcastle city i.e. the Grainger Town (II) alone.

My journey for the day started at 2pm with the starting point at Monument Metro station/Grey Street.

The Monument

As have explained before, the Grey street is the jewel in the crown of Grainger Town, a clearly defined conservation area in the middle of Newcastle, which was the brainchild of property developer, Richard Grainger, who began his re-modelling of Newcastle back in 1834.

Walking down the street, i soon come across the impressive front entrance to the

Theatre Royal

It was opened in 1837. This beautiful Grade I listed building was massively renovated in 1986 and is now the third home to the Royal Shakespeare Company (after London and Stratford upon Avon)

Inside the Theatre Royal

Northern Goldsmiths

Look up of the building, there is a beautiful golden lady representing Venus atop an ornate clock where she'll always give you the time of day.

Laing Art Gallery

The Laing celebrated its 100th anniversary in 2004.

Emerge from the glass fronted entrance/exit, the next attraction that i find out is beneath my feet known as the

Blue Carpet

A tiled area completed in 2002 by artist, Thomas Heatherwick and winner of several art's awards.

Bigg Market

This is where medieval Newcastle citizens once sold and bought a type of barley known as "bigg"

Towards the top end of the paved area, i crossed by the

Rutherford Memorial

Possibly the most ironic monument in Newcastle as it commemorates John Hunter Rutherford, a Scottish doctor and educational reformer of the mid 1800s, and a strong advocate of temperance.

Revolution Bar

The grand interior reflecting its former history as a bank.

Heading downwards i come across the

St. Nicholas' Cathedral

I manage to went in the cathedral before it close and here is some of the pictures that i took inside....

The elegant Lantern Tower (1448) is particularly ornate and the cathedral's crowning glory.

After visiting the St. Nicholas' Cathedral, once again i enjoy some wonderful surroundings of Grainger's masterpiece before i headed back to Grey's Monument and Monument Metro station.

The Statue of Queen Victoria

And some of the surrounding pictures...

Alright, that's all for today's tour around Grainger Town (II)!!!!

Hope you have a nice time viewing the pictures....
