Time is like a thief, It has taken away some of my precious memo. But when I take stock of the losses in anxiety, I see you there, right there, intact. Consciously striving to improve life and dare to dream...

Sightseeing
Situated on one of Georgetown's oldest street, it was formerly the residence of Cheong Fatt Tze, a powerful Chinese trading and shipping tycoon in the late 19th century where success brought many accolades including the Vice Consul of China. After moving to Penang in 1880, he commissioned artisans and craftsmen from China to build a home befitting his social status. One of the largest heritage mansion in Malaysia, it was painstakingly restored by its present owners. With a built-up area of 3,000sqm, 38 rooms, five courtyards, seven staircases and 220 windows, its layout is based on feng-shui principles.
Note: did not enter the mansion as have to pay admission fee of RM12/person i think and that the guided tour will only start at 11am and 3pm which will last for an hour.
Destination 2: Cathedral of the Assumption
The whole view of the church.The front view.
Cathedral of the Assumption was founded in 1786 at Church Street. It was so named because of the first group of Roman Catholic Eurasians from Kedah landed in Penang that year on the eve of the Feast of the Assumption. The church was later moved to Farquhar Street in 1857. The present building, erected by Father Manissol, openend in 1861. In 1955, the church was raised to the status of the Cathedral of the Diocese of Penang.
Destination 3: Penang State Museum
Located on Farquhar Street near Fort Cornwallis, the colonial-era building Penang State Museum was formerly the Penang Free School which was built in two separate stages, stage one in 1896, and when funds were adequate, stage two in 1906. The Penang State Museum is reputed to be one of the best state museum in Malaysia and exhibits paintings of Captain Robert Smith and the lovely engravings of William Daniell.
Other collections are former Penang Hill railway carriage, a handwritten Qur`an, old Malays weapons donated by the family of the late Dato’ Haji Fathil Basheer and etc. Divided into galleries dedicated to Penang’s historical communities, as well as particular historical events that took place in Penang, the museum houses a fine collection of old photographs, maps, historical documents, Chinese furniture, embroidery, costumes and other historical relics.
Note: admission fee is RM1 for an adult whereas secondary student is RM0.50. its worth the visit!

Plan
Well, the plan for now and maybe two (2) more years to come is to finish my education and then seek for an employment that have a good pay. Only then, maybe or perhaps finish off what i have started previously which i fail to complete.
As for future, i still haven't really decided yet. Maybe in coming days, months or years i will know what i really want to do with my life. Just hope for the best!
P/S: The reason i write this post is because i find that most of my classmates has actually plan ahead of time what they gonna do in their life which i apparently still blur up to date. =/

A big thanks to Salleni and Seetal for the cookies and cakes that both of you have given me on Deepavali. Me and family do enjoy eating them.
Thanks and Happy Deepavali to both of you!
Logic
If your father-in-law is a poor man, it's your stupidity.
I was born intelligent -
education ruined me.
Practice make perfect...
but nobody's perfect.....
so why practice?
If it's true that we are here to help others,
then what exactly are the others here for?
Since light travels faster than sound,
people appear bright until you hear them speak.
How come 'abbreviated' is such a long word?
Money is not everything.
There's Mastercard & Visa.
Behind every successful man, there is a woman.
And behind every unsuccessful man, there are two.
Every man should marry.
After all, happiness is not the only thing in life.
The wise never marry,
and when they marry they become otherwise.
Success is a relative term.
It brings so many relatives.
Never put off the work till tomorrow
what you can put off today.
'Your future depends on your dreams'
So go to sleep.
There should be a better way to start a day
Than waking up every morning.
'Hard work never killed anybody'
But why take the risk?
'Work fascinates me'
I can look at it for hours.
God made relatives;
Thank God we can choose our friends.
The more you learn, the more you know,
The more you know, the more you forget,
The more you forget, the less you know,
So.. why learn?
A bus station is where a bus stops.
A train station is where a train stops.
On my desk, I have a work station....
what more can I say........

The problem with GUYS
If u DON'T, he says u are PROUD.
If u DRESS nicely, he says u are trying to LURE him;
If u DON'T, he says u are from KAMPUNG.
If u ARGUE with him, he says u are STUBBORN;
If u keep QUIET, he says u have no BRAINS.
If u are SMARTER than him, he'll lose FACE;
If he's SMARTER than u, he is GREAT.
If u don't LOVE him, he tries to POSSESS u;
If u LOVE him, he will try to LEAVE u. (very true huh?)
If u don't MAKE love with him, he says u don't LOVE him;
If u DO!! he says u are CHEAP.
If u tell him your PROBLEM, he says u are TROUBLESOME;
If u DON'T, he says that u don't TRUST him.
If u SCOLD him, u are like a NANNY to him;
If he SCOLDS u, it is because he CARES for u.
If u BREAK your PROMISE, u CANNOT be TRUSTED;
If he BREAKS his, he is FORCED to do so.
If u SMOKE, u are BAD girl;
If he SMOKES, he is GENTLEMENT!
If u do WELL in your exams, he says it's LUCK;
If he does WELL, it's BRAINS.
If u HURT him, u are CRUEL;
If he HURTS u, u are too SENSITIVE!! & sooo hard to PLEASE!!!!!

3 A.M
Burning midnight oil is something that I don't like and should avoid if possible. I'm having eyes pain and mental stress with me straining my eyes too much plus lack of proper sleep for days or weeks.
Nothing I can do to solve this problem unless of course, I manage to finish the assignments on time before submission which is next Friday (26th Sept).
Guess I better continue doing my assignments or better of me going to sleep. Till then, wish me luck!

Alphabets can MOTIVATE
Enjoy life today, yesterday is gone, tomorrow may never come.
Give more than you planned to.
Ignore those who try to discourage you.
Keep trying no matter how hard it seems, it will get easier.
Make it happen.
Open your eyes and see things as they really are.
Stop procrastinating.
Understand yourself in order to better understand others.
Want it more than anything.
You are unique of all God's creations, nothing can replace YOU.

Hold on
All i can do is have faith in God!
~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
Hold on (x7)
You've always been a tough girl,
But you feel you're about to break.
You're feeling stuck,
And out of luck,
Watching your dreams all slip away.
Been working mornings in the kitchen,
And working nights at the corner store.
As your life flies by,
You wonder why,
And you know that there's gotta be something more.
(Chorus)
Hold on,
But don't hold on too tight.
Let go,
It's gonna be all right.
Don't run away from what your heart is saying.
Be strong,
Face what you're afraid of.
Come on,
Show 'em what you're made of.
I know it's hard when your hope is gone,
But you gotta keep holding on.
You'll hear a voice that's calling,
And it's telling you to make a change.
It's time to fly,
And say goodbye,
And move on to a better place.
You know you gotta take the first step,
To get to where you wanna be.
Just get on track,
And don't look back,
'Cos it's the only way that you're gonna be free..
(Chorus)
Hold on..
You're gonna make it,
You're gonna be stronger.
Hold on..
Hang in there, baby,
Just a little bit longer.
Hold on..
Yeah, and you're gonna be fine.
Don't give up,
Be strong.
When the going gets tough,
You gotta hold on.
(Chorus x2)
I know it's hard when your hope is gone, (x3)
But you gotta keep, yeah,
Holdin' on..(Hold on..)
Hold on..(Hold on)
Hold on.
Finding & Keeping A Life Partner
The article below would be useful for both the married and unmarried ones, please take some time to read.
Rule # 1 - MARRY THE RIGHT PERSON AND 90% OF YOUR PROBLEMS ARE SOLVED
When it comes to making the decision about choosing a life partner, no one wants to make a mistake. Yet, with a divorce rate of close to 50%, it appears that many are making serious mistakes in their approach to finding Mr./Miss. Right!
If you ask most couples who are engaged why they're getting married, they'll say: 'We're in love'. I believe this is the .. 1 mistake people make when they date. Choosing a life partner should never be based on love. Though this may sound 'not politically correct, there's a profound truth here.
Love is not the basis for getting married. Rather, love is the result of a good marriage. When the other ingredients are right, then the love will come. Let me say it again: 'You can't build a lifetime relationship on love alone, You need a lot more'!!!
Here are five questions you must ask yourself if you're serious about finding and keeping a life partner.
QUESTION ..1: Do we share a common life purpose?
Why is this so important? Let me put it this way: If you're married for 20 or 30 years, that's a long time to live with someone. What do you plan to do with each other all that time? Travel, eat and jog together? You need to share something deeper and more meaningful. You need a common life purpose.
Two things can happen in a marriage: (1) You can grow together, or (2) you can grow apart. 50% of the people out there are growing apart. To make a marriage work, you need to know what you want out of life! Bottom line: marry someone who wants the same thing.
QUESTION ..2: Do I feel safe expressing my feelings and thoughts with this person?
This question goes to the core of the quality of your relationship. Feeling safe means you can communicate openly with this person. The basis of having good communication is trust i.e. trust that I won't get 'punished' or hurt for expressing my honest thoughts and feelings. A colleague of mine defines an abusive person as someone with whom you feel afraid to express your thoughts and feelings. Be honest with yourself on this one. Make sure you feel emotionally safe with the person you plan to marry.
QUESTION ..3: Is he/she a mensch?
A mensch is someone who is a refined and sensitive person. How can you test? Here are some suggestions. Do they work on personal growth on a regular basis? Are they serious about improving themselves? A teacher of mine defines a good person as 'someone who is always striving to be good and do the right'. So ask about your significant other: What do they do with their time? Is this person materialistic? Usually a materialistic person is not someone whose top priority is character refinement.
There are essentially two types of people in the world: (1) People who are dedicated to personal growth and (2) people who are dedicated to seeking comfort. Someone whose goal in life is to be comfortable will put personal comfort ahead of doing the right thing. You need to know that before walking down the aisle.
QUESTION ..4: How does he/she treat other people?
The one most important thing that makes any relationship work is the ability to give. By giving, we mean the ability to give another person pleasure.
Ask: Is this someone who enjoys giving pleasure to others or are they wrapped up in themselves and self absorbed?
To measure this, think about the following: How do they treat people whom they do not have to be nice to such as waiters, bus boys, taxi drivers, etc.. How do they treat their parents and siblings? Do they have gratitude and appreciation?
If they don't have gratitude for the people who have given them everything; can you do nearly as much for them? You can be sure that someone who treats others poorly will eventually treat you poorly as well.
QUESTION ..5: Is there anything I'm hoping to change about this person after we're married?
Too many people make the mistake of marrying someone with the intention of trying to 'improve' them after they're married. As a colleague of mine puts it: 'You can probably expect someone to change after marriage for the worse'. If you cannot fully accept this person the way they are now, then you are not ready to marry them.
In conclusion, dating doesn't have to be difficult and treacherous. The key is to try leading a little more with your head and less with your heart. It pays to be as objective as possible when you are dating, to be sure to ask questions that will help you get to the key issues. Falling in love is a great feeling but when you wake up with a ring on your finger, you don't want to find yourself trouble because you didn't do your homework.
Another perspective...
There are some people in your life that need to be loved from a distance.. It's amazing what you can accomplish when you let go of or at least minimize your time with draining, negative, incompatible, not a going anywhere relationships. Observe the relationships around you.
Pay attention... Which ones lift and which ones lean? Which ones encourage and which ones discourage? Which ones are on a path of growth uphill and which ones are going downhill? When you leave certain people do you feel better or feel worse? Which ones don't appreciate you?Which ones make you feel good, praises you, boosts you with loving and caring words or annotations?
The more you seek quality, respect, growth, peace of mind, love and truth around you... the easier it will become for you to decide who gets to sit in the front row and who should be moved to the balcony of your life.
An African proverb states, 'Before you get married, keep both eyes open and after you marry, close one eye'. Before you get involved and make a commitment to someone, don't let lust, desperation, immaturity, ignorance, pressure from others or a low self-esteem make you blind to warning signs. Keep your eyes open, and don't fool yourself that you can change someone or that what you see as faults aren't really that important.
Do you bring out the best in each other?
Do you compliment and compromise with each other or do you compete, compare and control?
What do you bring to the relationship?
Do you bring past relationships, past hurt, past mistrust and past pain?
You can't take someone to the altar to alter them. You can't make someone love you or make someone stay.
If you develop self-esteem, spiritual discernment and 'a life', you won't find yourself making someone else responsible for your happiness or responsible for your pain. Seeking status, sex and security are the wrong reasons to be in a relationship.
WHAT KEEPS A RELATIONSHIP STRONG IS:
1. TRUST
2. COMMUNICATION
3. INTIMACY
4. A SENSE OF HUMOR
5. SHARING TASKS
6. DAILY EXCHANGES (meal, shared activity, hug, call, touch, notes, etc.)
7. SHARING COMMON GOALS AND INTERESTS
8. GIVING EACH OTHER SPACE TO GROW WITHOUT FEELING INSECURE
9.GIVING EACH OTHER A SENSE OF BELONGING AND ASSURANCES OF COMMITMENT
10. CONCERN AND CARE FOR YOUR LOVER IN YOUR OWN WAYS.
If these qualities are missing, the relationship will erode as resentment withdrawal, abuse, neglect, and dishonesty and pain will replace.
A Persons Attitude
LET IT REALLY SINK IN - THEN CHOOSE.
John is the kind of guy you love to hate. He is always in a good mood and always has something positive to say. When someone would ask him how he was doing, he would reply, "If I were any better, I would be twins!"
He was a natural motivator.
If an employee was having a bad day, John was there telling the employee how to look on the positive side of the situation.
Seeing this style really made me curious, so one day I went up and asked him, "I don't get it!"
"You can't be a positive person all of the time. How do you do it?"
He replied, "Each morning I wake up and say to myself, you have two choices today.
You can choose to be in a good mood or...you can choose to be in a bad mood.
I choose to be in a good mood."
Each time something bad happens, I can choose to be a victim or...I can choose to learn from it. I choose to learn from it.
Every time someone comes to me complaining, I can choose to accept their complaining or...I can point out the positive side of life.
I choose the positive side of life.
"Yeah, right, it's not that easy," I protested.
"Yes, it is," he said. "Life is all about choices. When you cut away all the junk, every situation is a choice. You choose how you react to situations. You choose how people affect your mood.
You choose to be in a good mood or bad mood. The bottom line: It's your choice how you live your life.
"I reflected on what he said. Soon hereafter, I left the Tower Industry to start my own business. We lost touch, but I often thought about him when I made a choice about life instead of reacting to it.
Several years later, I heard that he was involved in a serious accident, falling some 60 feet from a communications tower.
After 18 hours of surgery and weeks of intensive care, he was released from the hospital with rods placed in his back.
I saw him about six months after the accident.
When I asked him how he was, he replied, "If I were any better, I'd be twins...Wanna see my scars?"
I declined to see his wounds, but I did ask him what had gone through his mind as the accident took place.
"The first thing that went through my mind was the well-being of my soon-to-be born daughter," he replied. "Then, as I lay on the ground, I remembered that I had two choices:
I could choose to live or...I could choose to die. I chose to live."
"Weren't you scared? Did you lose consciousness?" I asked.
He continued, "...the paramedics were great. They kept telling me I was going to be fine. But when they wheeled me into the ER and I saw the expressions on the faces of the doctors and nurses, I got really scared. In their eyes, I read 'he's a dead man'. I knew I needed to take action."
"What did you do?" I asked.
"Well, there was a big burly nurse shouting questions at me," said John. "She asked if I was allergic to anything 'Yes, I replied.' The doctors and nurses stopped working as they waited for my reply. I took a deep breath and yelled, 'Gravity'
Over their laughter, I told them, "I am choosing to live. Operate on me as if I am alive, not dead."
He lived, thanks to the skill of his doctors, but also because of his amazing attitude...
I learned from him that every day we have the choice to live fully.
Attitude, after all, is everything.
Therefore do not worry about tomorrow, for tomorrow will worry about itself. Each day has enough trouble of its own.".
After all , today is the tomorrow you worried about yesterday.
Bulky
marketing principles is the most boring and bulkiest subject that i have studied so far for the semester. the luckiests thing in the situation is that i'm not majoring in marketing if not you will see me trying to commit suicide. really admired those taking marketing as a major!
guess the best of it is that it is assignment based and not exam based.=) though it is assignment, i'm also having difficulty in trying to start and get over the assignment as everytime i open the notes to read either i fall asleep or i tend to do something else just not to read it.
what a blast!
Way Back Into Love
I've been living with a shadow overhead
I've been sleeping with a cloud above my bed
I've been lonely for so long
Trapped in the past, I just can't seem to move on
I've been hiding all my hopes and dreams away
Just in case I ever need them again someday
I've been setting aside time
To clear a little space in the corners of my mind
All I want to do is find a way back into love
I can't make it through without a way back into love
Oh oh oh
I've been watching but the stars refuse to shine
I've been searching but I just don't see the signs
I know that it's out there
There's got to be something for my soul somewhere
I've been looking for someone to shed some light
Not somebody just to get me through the night
I could use some direction
And I'm open to your suggestions
All I want to do is find a way back into love
I can't make it through without a way back into love
And if I open my heart again
I guess I'm hoping you'll be there for me in the end
Oh, oh, oh, oh, oh
There are moments when I don't know if it's real
Or if anybody feels the way I feel
I need inspiration
Not just another negotiation
All I want to do is find a way back into love
I can't make it through without a way back into love
And if I open my heart to you
I'm hoping you'll show me what to do
And if you help me to start again
You know that I'll be there for you in the end
Oh, oh, oh, oh, oh
Hang out
Mushroom soup
Black pepper chicken chop with fries and potato salads
Seetal herbal jelly with longans
Movie ends at 5pm which i find the animation very hilarious especially the part where the Shifu trained Po using foods as bait for learning kung fu! Since we were not rushing to go home, we have a little snack at McDonalds with me having chicken nuggets and Coke while Seetal have sundae chocolate. Our chit chatting last for an hour where we finally depart for the journey home at 6.15pm with a photo together.
In our hands
It highlights resources and initiatives that promote low-carbon economies and lifestyles, such as improved energy efficiency, alternative energy sources, forest conservation, tree planting, and eco-friendly consumption.
Do You Know?
1. For every kilogram of waste you throw out, you produce 1kg of carbon dioxide. You can cut this figure by 30% if you recycle all paper, glass, metal and plastic.
2. Over 46,000 pieces of plastic litter - including bits of packaging, cigarette lighters, plastic bags and diapers are floating on every square mile (2.6sq km) of the oceans.
3. The energy saved from recycling one glass bottle will power a 100W light bulb for almost an hour, a computer for 20 minutes, a television for 15 minutes and a washing machine for 10 minutes.
4. The global atmosphere has warmed 0.74 Celsius over the past century. Temperatures will climb 0.2 Celsius per decade for the next 20 years. If the hikes exceed 1.5 to 2.5 Celsius, some 20% to 30% of plant and animal species will face the risk of extinction.
5. Freshwater withdrawals from lakes and rivers have doubled since 1960, with three-quarters used for agriculture. Water scarcity in many areas constrains food production, exacerbating hunger and poverty, and reduces other ecosystem services provided by water.
TIPS TO GO GREEN EVERYDAY
1. Shop with your own reusable 'green bag' instead of using plastic bags.
2. Turn off lights, TV and computers when not in use.
3. Unplug your mobile phone as soon as it has been fully charged.
4. Use energy saving light bulbs in every room.
5. Buy reusable batteries. You'll save money and energy use.
6. Pay bills on-line and subscribe to e-Statements to save paper and avoid unnecessary car trips.
7. Remember the three R's - Reduce, Reuse and Recycle.
The future of all life on earth depends on each and everyone of us.
The other stall....
I was barely sitting down when I heard a voice from the other stall saying:
'Hi, how are you?'
I'm not the type to start a conversation in the restroom and I don't know what got into me, but I answered, somewhat embarrassed,
'Doin' just fine!'
And the other person says:
'So what are you up to?'
What kind of question is that? At that point, I'm thinking this is too bizarre so I say:
'Uhhh, I'm like you, just traveling!'
At this point I am just trying to get out as fast as I can when I hear another question.
'Can I come over?'
Ok, this question is just too weird for me but I figured I could just be polite and end the conversation. I tell them
'No..I'm a little busy right now!!!'
Then I hear the person say nervously...
'Listen, I'll have to call you back. There's an idiot in the other stall who keeps answering all my questions.
Kung Fu Panda
Summary
It's the story about a lazy, irreverent slacker panda, named Po, who is the biggest fan of Kung Fu around...which doesn't exactly come in handy while working every day in his family's noodle shop. Unexpectedly chosen to fulfill an ancient prophecy, Po's dreams become reality when he joins the world of Kung Fu and studies alongside his idols, the legendary Furious Five -- Tigress, Crane, Mantis, Viper and Monkey -- under the leadership of their guru, Master Shifu. But before they know it, the vengeful and treacherous snow leopard Tai Lung is headed their way, and it's up to Po to defend everyone from the oncoming threat. Can he turn his dreams of becoming a Kung Fu master into reality? Po puts his heart - and his girth - into the task, and the unlikely hero ultimately finds that his greatest weaknesses turn out to be his greatest strengths.
